Sharapova is most experienced player among these two players and she won this match with a very tight and close fight from Julia Goerges. Final scores of the match is 7-6(4), 7-6(4). Throughout the match Sharapova hits her back hand really a strong and also Julia Goerges hit the ball hard. Goerges? is a talented player but I feel she is really lacking something mentally. I think she has a lot of potential but she needs to play the big points better if she wants to make the next step up to the top 10 (Currently 21). After massive tie breaks Sharapova enter into the quarterfinals of the 2011 Toray Pan Pacific Open.
