Andy Roddick’s full name is Andrew Stephen Roddick and he born on 1982 August 30, Also his nick name is A-Rod. He came to professional tennis in 2000. He is American and he is the only American male player who currently inside the World Top 10. Also he is former rank 1 player in 2003. His first Grand slam championship is 2003 US open single champion. The Best thing of Roddick is his Serve; he holds the fastest serve in professional Tennis speed is 249.5 km/h. Also he was a member of the USA Davis cup team in 2007 helping to win the Davis cup 2007. He is very strong in Hard and Grass courts.

In his Wimbledon career he reached to the finals 3 times, in all the 3 times he lost to current world Rank 1 player Roger Federer.

In 2004 Wimbledon final he lost to the Federer by, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(3), 6-4. In 2005 Wimbledon final lost by 6-2, 7-6(2), 6-4. In 2009 Wimbledon finals lost by 5-7, 7-6(6), 7-6(5), 3-6, 16-14.

In 2009 Wimbledon final is more awesome match in Grand slam finals the match took 4 hrs and 17 minutes. This is the longest match ever Grand Slam men single’s finals history. And the 5th set took 95 minutes it is the longest fifth set in Grand Slam men single’s finals history. In this match players played 77 games. He played semifinals with Andy Murray.

Altogether Roddick played 8 Wimbledon championships. In 2001 he played Wimbledon Double but unfortunately lost in first round. In 8 Wimbledon 2001,2002,2006 He lost from 3rd round, 2008 lost in the 2nd round, 2007 lost in Quarter finals, 2003 lost in Semifinals and 2004,2005,2009 won the Runners up.
